I bought these as a birthday gift for my daughter's 9th birthday.She requested binoculars so I wanted to give her something that was durable, water resistant and with decent optics, but not for $75-$100.These appear to meet all these criteria. I would be happy to use them for camping or at concerts.The only reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is because I simply do not know how waterproof they are not - in the rain with them have been. I advised my daughter NOT to test them for water resistance!.
